Video Covering This:
Before I share with you the process and steps you can take to get your audience to engage with your content and to even start conversations with you, I’d like you to invert this goal and actually think about what you would do ( or not do) in order to make sure that your audience never ever engages with your content.
Here is a list of things I would do or not do to make sure no one ever engages with my content and offers:
- Never post content: if there is nothing to engage with, equals zero engagement automatically
- Never build an audience: if there is no audience, there will be no engagement
- Never create content that motivates them to engage: only post content that lacks incentives.
- Only create content that does provide value
- Only spend my time selling my services/products
- Post once a month or once a week
There are a lot more things you can probably think of, but the purpose of this inversion thinking process is to help us make sure to avoid the path to failure.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO INCREASE THE ENGAGEMENT ON YOUR PROFILES?
2-STEP POST:
The purpose of these posts is to get your audience to engage and comment or do a specific action in order to receive something really valuable.
I recommend using these posts whenever you have new pieces of content that talk about their most painful problem OR whenever you’re testing the market to see the level of interest about a specific offer/content that you’re looking to build.
If you have a good 500,1000,2000+ people part of your network, these kinds of posts will help not only get a crazy level of engagement but also help you prove if the market wants what you have to sell or share.
Stories and polls: Instagram and Facebook stories.
Stories are so underutilized but they’re so powerful!
- Their power comes from the fact that it requires little to no effort in order to engage with your content
- Their power comes from the repetition
I personally have started using stories way more often than anything else, because it makes it easy for you to approach a cold prospect!
When the prospect makes a VOTE on your poll, they make a micro-commitment and when they’ve been seeing your stories daily for 3-6-10 weeks straight...they’re pretty warm.
Sharing content from other platforms:
I mostly do this for content that I post on Youtube. I recommend you start posting content on a Youtube channel because Youtube is so powerful!
Creating pieces of content that are 5-10-20 minutes long, uploading them on Youtube, and then sharing the link on your social platforms, is a great way to get cold prospects to start doing work in order to consume your content.
The advantage comes from the amount of ENERGY (content) on your YT channel.
Unlike your Facebook or Instagram, when someone jumps on your Youtube channel, they’ll end up spending more time going through your other videos and this will do all the selling you need!
So please start posting all your videos on Youtube and share them on your Facebook, Facebook group, and Instagram!
