Watch the video on this lesson:
Launching a price increase to all the prospects and to your audience
In order for me to explain how important this launch is, I’ll share Clientacquisition.io’s case study and Francesco - Eccelanza.io
Clientacquisition.io revenue for the first 4 months of 2022:
- January - $62k collected
- February - $58k collected
- Mars - 70k
- April - 87k
We did in fact grow revenue in the first 4 months of 2022 but it wasn’t anything crazy.
The only thing I did was hire more growth specialists since I was relying on mainly one specialist in January.
Now here is where things changed and why I want to share this insight with you.
The month of May - Clientacquisition.io more than doubled and we collected $180,000+ in less than 30 days.
What happened this month?
- I didn’t spend much money on ads probably 1k or 2k for retargeting or to drive people to the 5 days challenge.
- I didn’t have more growth specialist
- I didn’t launch any new offers that I didn’t have before…
Nothing changed about our business except one thing,
I announced a Price increase for two-three weeks straight.
The price increase was from our average price point which was $8k to $15k.
How come this single announcement helped us add an extra $100,000 in sales in a month?
- Simply put, PEOPLE HATE LOSING THINGS THEY HAD ACCESS TO.
- We’re more afraid to lose something, than excited to win something.
I see many business owners who don’t understand this insight and they literally spend their time offering discounts & ridiculous guarantees when they could simply take something away from their prospects.
Now for this strategy to work, you need an audience.
An audience can simply be - prospects that you’ve been on a sales call.
That’s ALL YOU NEED for this work. It doesn’t matter if you only have 20 people on your Calendly history or 2000 prospects.
Another case study of this strategy working wonders is for Francesco’s Agency.
- I shared with him this strategy around 6 weeks ago.
- While we were in Spain - he sends a price increase email to 6 prospects - he signed 3 clients in one week while on a trip - drinking tequila.
- I asked him where these clients came from and he said - from the price increase email I sent to prospects.
His Current Offer - Organic Tiktok
From His email & What you will see from My Email:
- These announcements are not there to simply announce an increase in price…they’re also announcing the fact that you get extra benefits/bonuses from signing up at the old price!!
- For Clientacquisition.io, the bonus was the Guarantee - we’ve never offered a guarantee but with the price increase, we started offering it.
- For Francesco, his bonus was the fact that they’re adding Ad Campaign Set up & management on TikTok!
⚠️ IMPORTANT:
- If you announce the price increase without giving a clear reason as to why the price is going up, NO ONE IS GOING TO BITE.They didn’t bite, when the price was lower, why would they bite when the price is higher and the value is the same?
How Long Should Your Promo Cycle Be?
- Two weeks minimum, this means that you need to start announcing the price increase 15 days before the price actually goes up
- 3-6 emails is Good
- Leverage your stories, leverage your DMs, leverage communities you’re part of, as well as your IG/FB/ Twitter/ Linkedin Feed.
Who will this strategy work the best for?
- If you’ve been consistently booking calls for the last 6 months+
- You have an audience on a platform like Linkedin, Instagram, Twitter or Faceb
